Children's Ministry
Children are precious to Jesus, and they are special to us!
If you have children, Lamar has a wonderful place waiting just for you! Your children will be taught and shown the love of Jesus by many caring people who have a sincere love for the Lord and the children He has blessed us with. Your children will experience a happy, loving, and safe place in which to learn about Jesus; and, hopefully, come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
We have a number of activities available for your children to attend:
Sundays:
Sunday School for all children ages at 10 am
Children’s Church for 4 year old children through 2nd grade at 11:30 am. The children begin in the worship service during the worship time and then have an age appropriate lesson during the sermon.
Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm:
Mission Friends for Pre-K – Kindergarten age
Girls in Action (G.A.’s) for 1st - 5th grade girls
Royal Ambassadors (R.A.’s) for 1st - 5th grade boys
These are mission discipleship organizations where children will learn about God’s love for all people and about missionaries and their work to spread Jesus with people everywhere. Children will have an opportunity to learn about, pray for, give to and participate in hands-on mission activities, while also making friends and having lots of fun.
In addition to weekly activities, there are special events or parties planned for children every few months, such as a swim party, movie night, etc.
Child care is available during all worship times for Pre-K and younger.
