What We Believe

God

God is creator of all that exists. He is sovereign, all powerful, all seeing, and present everywhere through His spirit. God is the only one true God and exists in the Trinity in three distinct persons as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Because of His love for all mankind, He gave his only Son to die on the cross to pay the penalty of sin for man. (Gen. 1:4, 2 Cor. 13:14, 1 John 1:10)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the second Person of the Trinity and the Son of God. In His virgin birth to Mary, Jesus was God manifested in the flesh. He lived a sinless life, was crucified as payment for the sins of man, was buried, resurrected on the third day, and ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of God. He is God's provision for man to have eternal life. It is only through a personal relationship with Him, by grace through faith, that man can have heaven and eternal life. (John 1:14, 1 Cor. 15:3-5)

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity and is present throughout the Earth. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we experience a new birth into the Kingdom of God. He lives inside of believers and equips them with special gifts, teaches them, comforts them and empowers them. (John 14:26, 1 Cor. 12:7, Gal. 5:22)

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and without error in its original form. It is the final authority for the Church in all we believe and practice and is true in all matters. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

Salvation and Eternal Life

Eternal life is heaven. WE can only have eternal life through Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace, through faith, when we repent of sin, place our faith in Jesus Christ, and receive forgiveness. Man cannot earn eternal life by doing good deeds or achievement. It is the free gift of God but man has free will in whether he chooses to accept it or reject it. (Eph. 2:8-9)

Baptism

Baptism is by immersion as an act of obedience following one's acceptance of Jesus Christ. It is a symbolic expression of the believer dying to sin and self, buried in Christ, and resurrected to walk in a new life in Jesus Christ.

The Lord's Supper

The Lord's Supper is a memorial service that reminds us of the saving work of Christ on the cross. The bread is symbolic of the body of Christ that was given for all mankind and the drink is symbolic of the blood of Christ, shed for the forgiveness of sin. (1 Cor. 11:23-26)
